Developed by the company’s flash memory division, Kingston Digital, the new drive is designed for professional creators, 3D designers, video editors, and gamers who demand both massive storage and maximum speed.
Kingston introduced 8TB Renegade G5 SSD
The Kingston Renegade G5 offers a massive 8192 GB (8 TB) capacity — the highest of any PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD released by the brand to date. Powered by a PCIe Gen5 x4 controller and 3D TLC NAND technology, the drive delivers up to 14,800 MB/s read and 14,000 MB/s write speeds. It also achieves more than 2 million IOPS, ensuring exceptional responsiveness and stability during heavy multitasking and data-intensive operations.

According to Keith Schimmenti, Kingston’s SSD Business Manager, the company developed the Renegade G5 series to meet users’ growing demand for both speed and capacity. Schimmenti emphasized that the new 8 TB variant offers the performance and space required by professionals and PC enthusiasts alike, positioning it as one of the most capable storage solutions on the market.
The Renegade G5 lineup will be available in capacities ranging from 1024 GB to 8192 GB, maintaining Kingston’s long-standing reliability and endurance standards. By combining cutting-edge PCIe 5.0 bandwidth with advanced controller technology, the company has significantly boosted data transfer rates compared to previous-generation drives.
Engineered for demanding workloads such as high-resolution video editing, 3D rendering, and large game file management, the Kingston Renegade G5 pushes the limits of PCIe 5.0 storage technology. With its 8 TB capacity and blazing 14,800 MB/s read speeds, it stands among the fastest and most capable NVMe SSDs currently available.
