AMD Radeon RX 9060 series arriving in Q2
AMD has officially announced that the Radeon RX 9060 series, first introduced at CES 2025, will be available in the second quarter of the year. The company positions this new series as an affordable yet high-performance option for gamers playing at 1080p and 1440p resolutions.

Although AMD has not yet revealed detailed technical specifications, industry analysts predict that the RX 9060 will feature the RDNA 4 architecture with a slightly reduced core count. It is also expected to include AI-based frame generation with FSR 4 support, third-generation ray tracing, and HYPR-RX technologies.
On the memory side, the RX 9060 series is anticipated to come with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM and a 256-bit memory bus. Power consumption is estimated to be between 150W and 200W, indicating a solid balance between performance and efficiency. The expected price range for the RX 9060 is between $349 and $449, making it a potentially more attractive alternative to the RTX 4060.
Additionally, the RX 9060 series is set to be positioned below higher-end models like the RX 9070 XT, offering a more affordable option for mid-range gamers. With the Radeon RX 9000 series, AMD aims to compete directly with Nvidia’s RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti in the mid-range segment.
