Adobe has unveiled a new AI Assistant designed to speed up creative workflows and automate repetitive design tasks in Adobe Photoshop. The tool can automatically complete creative actions, provide personalized suggestions, and offer step-by-step guidance, making complex edits more efficient.
Adobe Photoshop launches powerful new AI assistant
The AI Assistant is also coming to Adobe Express, giving users access to conversational creation and editing tools. With this integration, designers can switch seamlessly between natural language commands and traditional manual editing tools.

Alongside the assistant, Photoshop is gaining additional AI features, including Generative Fill and Generative Upscale. Generative Fill allows users to remove or modify objects through text-based prompts. These tools are powered by Gemini 2.5 Flash, Black Forest Labs LUX.1 Kontext, and Firefly Image Models, offering advanced editing capabilities.
Another major addition is the Harmonize feature, which blends people or objects into new scenes by automatically adjusting lighting, color, and tone for natural-looking results. Harmonize, Generative Fill, and Generative Upscale are available starting today. The Photoshop AI Assistant is currently accessible through a private beta waitlist, while Adobe Express Premium users can already try the AI Assistant on the cloud-based platform.
