Countdown begins for Xiaomi 17 Ultra: 3C certification confirmed

Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, has officially cleared a major pre-launch milestone. Positioned as the company’s next premium device, the 17 Ultra will feature top-tier hardware, advanced camera technology, and next-generation connectivity. According to recent reports, the device has successfully received China’s 3C certification, confirming key technical details ahead of launch.

3C certification confirms 100W fast charging and dual satellite connectivity

Based on the 3C certification listing, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will come in two variants. The model numbered 2512BPNDAC represents the standard edition, while 25128PNA1C is registered as a dual satellite communication version supporting Tiantong-1 and Beidou systems. These technologies enable voice calls and text messaging via satellite, allowing the device to maintain communication even without terrestrial network coverage.

The 3C certification also confirms that the smartphone will feature 100W wired fast charging, marking a slight but notable upgrade over the 90W charging speed of its predecessor, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The exact battery capacity has not yet been disclosed, but considering the 7,500 mAh cell used in the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, the 17 Ultra is expected to feature a similar or larger battery.

In terms of design, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will sport a large circular camera module on the back. On the front, users will find a 6.8-inch flat 2K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring a smooth and immersive visual experience. Powering the device will be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, while IP68 water and dust resistance and wireless charging support will round out its premium features.

The camera setup will once again be one of the phone’s main highlights. The 17 Ultra will feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor enhanced by a new large sensor design and in-sensor zoom technology. It will be paired with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, promising exceptional zoom and detail performance.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to launch in three color options — black, white, and purple — and will reportedly be priced at around $845. The official unveiling is anticipated within the coming weeks, with initial availability likely starting in the Chinese market before expanding globally.
