The Best All-Weather Tire for Year-Round Performance

For drivers looking to avoid seasonal tire changes, a high-quality all-weather tire can be the best solution. Unlike standard all-season tires, which struggle in winter conditions, all-weather tires offer reliable grip on snow and ice while maintaining solid performance on dry and wet roads.

A recent test by the Tyre Reviews YouTube channel evaluated seven leading all-weather tires from top brands, including Michelin, Goodyear, Bridgestone, Pirelli, Toyo, and Nokian. The tires were tested in dry, wet, snowy, and icy conditions to determine which offered the best overall performance.

Each tire excelled in different areas. The Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady 2 led in wet braking, while the Michelin CrossClimate 2 proved superior in dry braking. Nokian’s Remedy WRG5 delivered the most balanced and predictable handling on snow, living up to the brand’s reputation for winter tires.

Ultimately, Michelin’s CrossClimate 2 emerged as the best all-weather tire overall. Despite being one of the older models tested, it performed exceptionally well across all conditions, including wet roads, dry pavement, and even ice. Additionally, it had the lowest rolling resistance, making it an ideal choice for electric vehicles.

However, premium performance comes at a price—the Michelin CrossClimate 2 was also the most expensive tire in the group. Still, for drivers seeking year-round reliability without frequent tire changes, it stands out as the best all-weather option available today.
